Jollywood Tour 2025 – a cross-border world music journey
Between 6 and 16 November 2025, Jollywood toured across northern Sweden, Finland and Norway as part of Arctic Pulse, in collaboration with Norrbotten World and Musik i Norr. Led by Norwegian composer and bassist Svein Schultz, the ensemble brought together five musicians from Sweden, Norway, Finland and India in a meeting between musical traditions from the North and Indian musical influences.
With Sanjay Khan, Charlotta Kerbs, Görel Särs and Daniel Wikslund alongside Schultz, Jollywood created a rich and expressive sound shaped by voice, strings, accordion, percussion and improvisation. The tour presented ten concerts across the region and highlighted the kind of cross-border artistic collaboration that Arctic Pulse is designed to support.
The collaboration with Norrbotten World also points beyond a single tour. As an ongoing permanent activity within Norrbottensmusiken, Norrbotten World provides a strong base for continued circulation of the production and for future artistic exchange in the North.
